The Western Section is approximately 7.7 miles and extends from the west of PA 10 to just west of the Reeceville Road intersection. The existing typical section of Mainline US 30 is shown below. 
With reconstruction of Mainline US 30 in the Western Section, 12 foot travel lanes will be maintained, wider shoulders will be provided for vehicle recovery and disabled vehicles, and a median barrier will be provided to improve safety. The conceptual typical section is shown below.
